Our Experiences
At House of Mi-Rin, we welcome you into a journey shaped by seasonality, stillness, and the quiet luxury of being nourished by the land. From intimate evenings that honour the harvest, to restorative overnight escapes, to fully immersive retreats crafted for those seeking complete rest — each experience is designed to bring you closer to the rhythms of our farm, our kitchen, and the philosophy that guides our home. Explore the paths and find the Mi-Rin journey that calls to you.
Mi-Rin Seasonal Journey
Mi-Rin Seasonal Journey is our signature dining experience — an intimate evening that follows the rhythm of our farm and the seasons. Designed as a slow, thoughtful progression of courses, it showcases the freshest ingredients harvested from our own garden, orchard, and nearby producers, prepared with a gentle Korean and Asian sensibility. Each menu is created in response to what the land is offering now: what has just come into season, what is at its peak, what needs to be celebrated before it passes.

From the moment you arrive, you’re invited to slow down. Your evening begins overlooking the fields and hills, with views of the garden beds and the onggi jars quietly fermenting nearby. As daylight softens, the meal unfolds course by course — vegetables lifted straight from the soil that morning, broths and sauces deepened by long-fermented jangs, and dishes that balance comfort, elegance, and a sense of home. The focus is on purity of flavour, restraint, and respect for every ingredient: nothing excessive, nothing added without intention.

Throughout the journey, we share stories of the ingredients on your plate — where they were grown, how they were preserved, why they are special at this exact moment in the year. You are dining just a short walk from where so much of your meal began, with food miles counted in footsteps rather than kilometres. It is not simply a “dinner out”, but a quiet conversation between farm and kitchen, and an invitation to taste the seasons of Mi-Rin with all of your senses. Mi-Rin Seasonal Journey is not a “chef-driven” dinner — it is a home-cooked experience, shaped by the seasons and prepared the way we cook for family. We aren’t trained chefs, and our kitchen isn’t built on theatrics or fancy techniques. Instead, everything begins with the land: what we sow, what we nurture, and what we harvest with our own hands.

Dining with us feels like being welcomed into someone’s home, not a restaurant. There are no elaborate techniques to show off, no Michelin-level compositions — just real food, cooked with sincerity, using what the land has gifted us that day. We tell the stories behind the ingredients, the trials of growing them, the joy of the harvest, and the way each season shapes the menu.

2D/1N Nourish & Retreat
A gentle overnight escape shaped by slow living, home-cooked meals, and the quiet rhythms of our farm.
Our Nourish & Retreat experience is designed for couples seeking a simple, restful getaway — not a luxury resort stay, but a return to the basics done beautifully. Here, you’ll wake to birdsong, wander among the vegetable beds, breathe the fresh Yea air, and let the calm of the land settle into you. Nothing rushed. Nothing excessive. Just space.
Your retreat includes dinner and breakfast, both cooked the way we cook for ourselves: fresh, honest, and shaped by the daily harvest. Dinner follows our Mi-Rin Seasonal Journey — a home-style, seasonal meal using vegetables and herbs gathered hours before they reach your plate. Breakfast is warm, nourishing, and comforting: the kind of meal that feels like it was prepared by someone who truly wants you to start the day well.
Throughout your stay, you’re invited to reconnect with the slower, quieter parts of life. Wander through the farm. Sit with a cup of tea and watch the fog lift from the hills. Read on the deck. Explore our fermentation house and onggi jars. Watch our cows graze, our ducks waddle past, our goats wander. Or simply do nothing at all — sometimes that’s the most nourishing choice.
Your room offers a space of soft minimalism: warm wood underfoot, shoji-style screens, grounding stone elements, Japanese tubs for herbal baths prepared from herbs we’ve grown and dried at different times of the year. Every detail is crafted to feel calm, restful, and human — not polished perfection.
The Nourish & Retreat is for those who want a taste of Mi-Rin’s slow rhythm without committing to a full retreat. A night to breathe. A night to reconnect. A night to remember what it feels like to be taken care of — quietly, gently, and generously.

House of Mi-Rin Signature Retreat

Where time slows, the land speaks, and everything gently takes care of you.
From the moment you arrive at House of Mi-Rin, life begins to move differently. The air feels softer. The hills feel closer. And something inside you — something tired, rushed, and tightly wound — finally exhales.
Our Signature Retreat is the deepest way to experience our home. It is not a program or a luxury package. It is a story you step into — a story shaped by the land, the seasons, and the way we live here every day.

A day that unfolds like a quiet rhythm
Mornings begin with light drifting through shoji screens, the soft shuffle of animals outside, and the gentle smell of breakfast being prepared. Nothing fancy — just warm, nourishing food cooked the way we cook for ourselves, using what the garden offered that morning. You wander down when you’re ready. No rush. No timetable chasing you.
After breakfast, you might find yourself:
• sitting in the meditation hut listening to the wind
• steeping tea in our quiet tea room
• warming slowly in the sauna pod as the world slips away
• or cuddling one of our goats who decides to adopt you for the day
The farm has its own way of choosing what you need.

The land invites you deeper
At some point, our chef will take you on a guided walk across the farm — not a scripted tour, but a conversation with the land. You’ll hear how Mi-Rin was born from bare soil. You’ll see where each ingredient begins. You’ll learn why certain vegetables only appear once a year, and how our animals, compost, and seasons shape everything we cook.

Moments that nourish in small, unexpected ways
In the afternoon, there are quiet pleasures waiting for you: freshly fried potato crisps, fluffy chiffon cake, Japanese milk buns pulled warm from the oven, and house-made drinks — kombucha, kefir, ginger bug sodas, cheong infusions — each one a snapshot of the garden preserved in a bottle.
And then… the softest moment of the day: Mi-Rin Happy Hour.
Our favourite reds, whites, and champagne — poured slowly as the hills turn gold.
If you feel called, you can join a sound healing session, or stretch into a yin yoga class so gentle it feels like floating. Or walk up to Buddha Point and hoist prayer flags — allowing the wind to carry your blessings, your intentions, your quiet hopes across the valley.

Evenings that feel like coming home
Dinner is our Mi-Rin Seasonal Journey — cooked the way families cook when they want to feed the people they love. Simple. Honest. Deeply seasonal. Every dish carries a small story of its own: where it grew, how it survived the weather, why today was the right day to harvest it.
It is not restaurant food.
It is food with a pulse.
After dinner, the night settles around you — stars, silence, and the soft glow of the farmhouse across the hill.

A sanctuary shaped by warmth, not excess
Your room welcomes you back with warm timber floors, shoji screens, soft linens, grounding stone, and a Japanese tub filled with herbs we’ve grown, dried, and blended. Every detail is simple but intentional — designed to feel like the kind of comfort you didn’t realise you were missing.
You sleep early. You sleep deeply.
You sleep in a way you haven’t in a very long time.

More than a retreat — it is a remembering
Our Signature Retreat is not about activities, or amenities, or ticking boxes.
It is about remembering what it feels like to slow down.
To taste food grown steps away.
To let the land hold you.
To breathe without rushing.
To rest without guilt.
When you leave, we hope you carry a little of Mi-Rin back with you —
a softening, a clarity, a feeling that something inside you has quietly rearranged itself.
